Although I really abhor violence and lots of boysy cultural references my favourites films tend to have a lot of violence and/ or are really boysy: Clockwork Orange, Jubilee, The Beach for eg. Also stuff like American Beauty, Moulin Rouge and Luhrman's Romeo and Juliet. I have a wide and varied taste, and will even watch crappy films sometimes and enjoy them, but long gone are the days when I could watch an American 'teen movie'
Worst film ever made? A lesbian film called Claire of the Moon

I know that this film is well thought of, and it is OK, but really I only thought that Eric Bana's performance was really good. He seems extremely well cast. I was quite surprised to see someone I knew from my Sydney days (the druggie/ drunk girlfriend of his friend) - she was all right, but then her life was a bit like that! It is one of those unflichingly honest looks at a very violent world, and 'Chopper' Read may have been charismatic, but he also is definitely more than a bit of a nutter!
