This film promises a great deal, the hype contributes to a sense that you are about to witness a masterpiece. If therefore said masterpiece is to make you feel like rubbish and generally sickened and depressed then this is it. I unfortunately did not see the comparison to Trainspotting until after the disk had arrived otherwise it would never have made the shortlist. I dont know what is worse the behaviour depicted in the film or that this type of film is treasured so highly here as entertainment!?
I am proud of being British, and being English is a part of my heritage, yet this showed a side to life here I know exists but would rather not be exposed to on my Sunday afternoon. If you are dedicated to sociology then this film may hold some acute social fascination. But to call this entertainment! Well thats why I have marked this film so low in the ratings score, as I personally did not find it contained any entertainment value at all. In fact the whole film in my opinion was obscene.   8 out of 8 people found this review helpful
