    At last some proper drama from Japan has started to filter through to the west. In this film you are drawn into the lives of a seemingly ordinary, if dysfunctional family and the everyday events in their home. It has a dark comedy theme, but doesn't come across as silly. The acting is excellent which ensures a good balance throughout the film, and the twisted events unfolding maintain your interest. There's some really great character creations. Cinematography is understated and looks really lovely. Well worth the time watching this. Recommended.   2 out of 2 people found this review helpful
