A film to make you think , 7 June 2008

    This film, considering the realism behind it, has a lot of emotion behind it. This story portrays a part of the world we do not understand, in a different light. The film itself has great action sequences and good acting, but because of the realism behind it, that doesnt come into question.

    This film is a relatively true depiction of exactly what is happening right now, as im typing this review and of what will still be happening as you read it. This film shows that although we cannot help but be cynical and presume muslims are the enemy. Muslims are as much human as you and me and the majority of them have the same urge to do good as most of us do. However the ending is a short hitting realisation that, as a whole they are not that much worse than ourselves, and gives a sort of justification to their cause.

    I believe as an american film into a very touchy and emotional subject they did excellent to not just portray themselves in a good light, but also the muslim community. This to me was a film i was gonna watch when i was bored as a bit of an exciting hard-hitting action film. However it turned out to be a thought-provoking movie that left me staring blankly at the screen in the midst of my thoughts.
