    *I'm writing this review based on the strength of the first three episodes*

    I'm very much looking forward to seeing the rest of this series because it's one of those rare things.. a TV show with real intelligence, which also has gripping and absorbing storylines and characters. It examines both sides of a 'war on drugs in Baltimore (It's not really a war - a war ends). But the show is as much about the corruption and complacency in the police force as it is about the actual police work itself. A lot of characters are essentially passing the buck, so that their record will look nice and clean, and it'll all look good for the man at the top of the ladder. But in the series we're introduced to (and kind of follow) McNulty, a cop who's not afraid to get involved and shake up the system a bit, so there's a very interesting dynamic there..

    So what can I say? Consider me interested! From all the critical acclaim it's received, and on the strength of these few episodes.. I can't wait to see how the whole thing plays out!
