If you got excited about some great Brazilian films that recently reached these shores don't get fooled by this one. The evident large budget here was well used for an interesting cinematography and casting of soap opera stars but they forgot the screenplay, editing and characters study. None of the actors deliver - a possibly exception to supporting Lazaro Ramos - and the plot never reaches the minimum expected. If you're still interested about the photography you are better off taking Behind the Sun, similar plot, same location and you get the bonus of watching Santoro impressive performance and director Salles finest moment.
