Why do I keep watching these films?

The talking mouse with the fencing sword is back (cricket bats at the ready) as is the thick Christian allegory, which is hammed up at the end as Aslan 'ascends'

'I am known in your world by a different name.'

Yeah and what's that Aslan, is it Geoff Aslan? Is that your name in our world- Geoff Aslan? No its not, its Jesus isn't it? In our world you had an Aramaic name, Yeheshua, translated into Greek text before being formalised for centuries in Latin. Well, blow me, and yet here you are a talking Lion helping a fencing mouse get into heaven through a wall of water.

Sorry guys. I loved the books as a child though this is a patch work farce. I'm not sure, given the simplistic plot arch of the stories that they translate well to film. Even the big buck set pieces are quite hollow. Dawn Treader's only redeeming feature is the final battle with the tentacled sea monster and the character of Eustace who seems to bring some snot and bite to the repressed, black and white character templates of the Pevensie children.
