    To remake this classic would be like trying to remake All About Eve, Gone With The Wind, Casablanca, Citizen Kane, The Godfather, American Beauty...

    Pointless, wasteful and serve only to illustrate how untouchable the originals were.

    Modern filmakers, technicians & actors do not have the fine sensitivity, care & attention to detail required to match let alone better those & many other movies of yesteryear...unfortunately.

    All their 'care' & 'attention to detail' & any other effort seems to be channelled into perfecting CGI or mass-marketing & promotion of far lesser 'product' as they would call it.

    A Matter of Life & Death gets 6 out of 5 from me.
