| About me: |
One of the greatest lines in a movie of all time, "If only you could see what I have seen, with your eyes", (Roy Batty, Blade Runner). I apologise for my unoriginality, but I have to write it, Blade Runner (Directors Cut) by Ridley Scott, is a quite simply a breathtaking masterpiece. The quoted line above is one of many chilling, psychological phrases, that given the context and narrative of the film, really invokes it's audience to explore the reasoning of the characters motivations. Subsequently this personalises the intensity within which the 'Replicants' suffer their demise. Not wanting to seem like one of those pompous, self-indulgent movie buffs (because I’m certainly no film connoisseur) I can only write that if you have not seen this truly brilliant film, you must order it as soon as you can.
