    This is not just one of the best Action/thrillers I've ever seen, it's probably the best film I've seen of any genre this year.

    The plot is simple and isn't in itself groundbreaking, but the execution is masterful.

    In some ways TAKEN is similar to the Bourne trillogy or the 24 series, which can clearly be cited as influences. However, whilst they had always seemed dissapointing and half hearted, TAKEN does it right. Managing to be both extreme and at the same time believable.

    I cannot reccomend this film highly enough, and it is worth pointing out that my wife, who doesn't usually like this type of film loved it too.
