Gregory's Girl
on DVD
(1980)
Starring: John Gordon Sinclair, Dee Hepburn, Clare Grogan
Director: Bill Forsyth
Certificate:
A great film, despite what must have been a very small budget. The film works because of the characters. They are entertaining and well defined. Presented through great acting, they keep you interested in the film. The plot isn't momentus, but it doesn't need to be. As another reviewer suggested, whilst the teenagers are teenagers, the adults and kids swap roles. Also, as suggested by another reviewer, the film does end in a surprisingly swift fashion. I was expecting some more explanation.
