This is a brilliant drama showing the last days of the Third Reich from the inside. It's extremely well cast and very moving. Hitler is portrayed as a much more three dimensional character than usual, with insecurities and physical tics which help to illustrate his clearly developing insanity. It's not fast paced - if you're looking for a WW2 action shoot 'em up this is not for you. It's the better for it though - the gradual developments and glimmers of false hope help to augment the sense of defeat and anxiety which pervades the film.
