Fantastically epic! , 28 February 2008

    This is truly an epic story!

    I hadn't read any of Terry Pratchets books, and still thought this was spectacular. I think it works as a straight up fantasy movie (if you watch both parts back to back, not for the faint hearted though, as it comes to about 3 hours), and doesn’t necessarily need to be watched at Christmas time, though it would help get you into the sprit of it.

    Ian Richardson (The voice of death) is fantastic, and is very funny when being instructed on the correct manner in which to play the Hogfather. David Jason was equally funny, if not more so, playing Deaths assistant come elf-ish helper, Albert.

    I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of fantasy, it is definitely a must watch.   3 out of 3 people found this review helpful
