    King Kong in itself is a stunning film. Just over three hours of epic cinematography, fantastic visuals and a musical score that will tug the tightest of heartstrings.
    But watching it in high-def is like a short-sighted man experiencing the world after putting on a pair of glasses for the first time. All the little details you never noticed before thrust themselves into your eye, like the individual leaves on the bushes that litter Skull Island, or the single thin hairs that jut out from Kong's cheek in extreme close-up shots.
    If you've got an HDTV and an HD DVD player, I guarantee that after you watch King Kong on it, it'll be one of the titles you'll be using to show it off to friends and family alike.   8 out of 8 people found this review helpful
