A stellar film that far from kicks the bucket! , 17 September 2010

    I was expecting good things from this film, but still, it exceeded my expectations. Like many of the best films, there are moments where you will laugh out loud, and moments where you will quietly cry to yourself...the acting, directing and script-writing are so brilliantly executed throughout that the film can go from heart-warming to tear-jerking in seconds!

    While I'm not averse to either of them, Nicholson and Freeman aren't two of my favourite actors, but their performances in 'The Bucket List' are both absolutely on par and cannot be faulted at all. That these are two great, acclaimed actors in a brilliantly conceived film never comes under question.

    On a final note, comments regarding the stellar visual quality of the Blu-Ray version are not unfounded. Faces are crisply detailed and full of definition, and some of the vistas seen throughout are nothing short of breathtaking.

    I don't often buy films lately, choosing to solely rent instead, but on this occasion, I may be tempted to pick up a copy to keep. 'The Bucket List' is a fantastically rich and emotionally charged film that should be in everyone's collection. Rent it now.   1 out of 1 person found this review helpful
