The interviews during the intermission are enjoyable but one or two of the interviewer's comments, like 'singing... is a lot more difficult than chewing gum and walking', are out of place.
But don't let that put you off..
Applause is not good enough for this production. Stunned silence is to be expected - even tears of joy that you can hear such beautiful singing from almost all the cast. I feel certain that if she could hear, Giulia Grisi would be proud of Anna Netrebko.
