Worth watching , 27 September 2008

The Stepford Wives on DVD (1975)

One disadvantage of an iconic film is that one already knows too much about the plot before watching it. The twist in this story would no doubt be great if it hadn't been revealed to me years before seeing it. Consequently this lessened the impact its criticism of what are not altogether outmoded attitudes.

The film is dated, perhaps a little drawn out but nevertheless entertaining.
