Wind Chill
on DVD (2007)
Starring: Ned Bellamy, Emily Blunt, Martin Donovan
Director: Gregory Jacobs
Certificate:
i rented this based on previous reviews from this site and the description given I find it hard to find a decent horror these days, and where i wouldn't say this is a particualarly scary or epic horror, its a pretty good film, considering the lack of media attention its had. A chance 'meeting' (maybe considered slightly disturbing, or stalkerish meeting) between 2 students one xmas leads to a road trip in the snow. In an attempt to save a bit of time, a trip down a short cut leaves the 2 students stranded on a road, which has been the site for numerous related incidents, all leaving their mark with ghosts. The film has a 'silent hill' feel about it, eerie and quite jumpy. Theres a few points where i got kind of lost by what was happening, but on the whole i enjoyed this film. Maybe more one for the more discerning viewer, not someone who rates horror on how much gore is in it, or how many nights it keeps you up for following watching it
