First off Rob Zombie's Halloween isn't John Carpenter's masterpiece and if you haven't seen this film yet take that into account when your watching it. The film is set in two parts the 1st half is about Michaels childhood and his journey to what he becomes and in my opinion this part of the film is the best and should have remained the main focus of the film. The second part is the remake of Halloween where Michael breaks out and comes looking for his sister. Unfortunately this part of the film isn't long enough for my liking it doesn't explore Laurie and friends like the original and your left feeling that you don't care what happens to them. I personally didn't see the need nor the point of including it in this film. The soundtrack is really good. My only other critisms are theres a little too much swearing and the fact most Halloween films don't have much nudity in them...well this one makes up for that in spades. Overall good film worth the watch.
