I've haven't hired the dvd's but I have watched the first series - and I wish I haven't bothered.
This is just a long drawn-out version of the films. I love the films but this is just dull (sorry lovefilm - but it is!). The title sequence has better special effects than the episodes and all the characters are unlikeable.
The girl terminator plays a pretty convincing human in the first episode but then starts playing the character like Arnie (monosyllabic) after revealing her true identity.
