    This is a good old-fashioned romp, which harks back to the likes of The Princess Bride and the Goonies. Although not that big a hit when released expect it to be regarded as a classic in years to come.

    It's all about a lad who tries to win his love's heart by bringing her a fallen star - but not everything goes to plan, obviously. The fantastical tale features star turns from the likes of Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfieffer, who seem to have great fun playing against type.

    I didn't know what to expect from it and enjoyed it enormously. One for the whole family watch at the weekend
