Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution
on Xbox 360
Certificate:
At it's core, it's a great online multiplayer game, but it is flawed in so many ways. There is a severe imbalance in the strength of some of the civs (china, zulu, aztecs and arabs being the strongest and if you're up against one of them being played by a pro expect a severe pounding) but the worst part is the terrible code which leaves games hanging and crashing a fair amount of times and when you've spent an hour or more on a game having it crash because the coders didn't know what they were doing is very annoying... especially when it happens again and again. It's incredibly dull as a one player game as it really is a Civ for multiplayer and is arcadesque and all the AI civs play the same and are pretty dumb on the whole. A lot of forum debate has gone on around this game with some die hards defending every glitch and Firaxis inability to resolve them but the majority ruing a missed opportunity and stopping playing. They (Firaxis) broke the PS3 version with their first patch, lol. Rent it if you want to give it a go and only buy it if you can accommodate the flaws... and buy it second hand from a store, there'll be stacks of them available.
