Film obsessed Costume Design student. Particularly fond of silent-50s cinema, 60s/70s budget British Horror, and contemporary Asian cinema . Not much into most comedies and I'm a bit phobic of Kirk Douglas and Eddie Murphy.
Favourite Directors - David Lynch, Alfred Hitchcock, Andrei Tarkovsky, G.W Pabst, Bruce Robinson, John Huston, Sergio Leone, Howard Hawks, Elia Kazan, Quentin Tarantino, Ole Bornedal, Billy Wilder, George Cuckor, and Martin Scorsese (pre-Cape Fear - urgh).
The entire cast are excellent, with George Sanders deserving particular note. Bette Davis, always good value, gives perhaps her finest performance as Margo, as does Anne Baxter as the scheming and duplicitous, Eve. It's also very nice to see the young and very lovely Marilyn Monroe in a nifty little comedic role.
Watching the witty lines fly like confetti is a perfect way to spend an evening.
