I have not written a review before, mainly because I believe that we should all make up our own minds about films and not be swayed by someone else's opinions. I have read scathing reviews of films I have loved on this site. Most recently about the assassination of jesse james by the coward robert ford.Even then I did not write a review, after all we are all entitled to our opinions. This is different however. This film was given rave reviews on its cinema release by so-called experts. Why? I have never seen such a disjointed, non- descript film in my life. It was a mish-mash of nonsense and made me wonder if half of the origional filming was left on the cutting room floor! The afore-mentioned film about jesse james was accused of being 'slow by some people and full of mumbled dialogue - two points that this film was definitely guilty of.The dialogue itself was appalling and as another review also mentioned it was as if certain important chapters had been left out; i.e; What was the appearance of woody harrelson all about.?The final dialect between Tommy lee jones and his wife was, I take it, supposed to be a profound summing up of the whole boring affair, but it was as if it had been written by a self indulgent teenager and this, just one of many boring scenes was....it! A total waste of two hours of my life. Please give this appalling iflm a miss, how it ever made it past the script stage is beyond me.
