    Well, the acting was first class, without a doubt, but:
    - it was in German, with sub-titles (nothing wrong with that, but don't be caught by surprise)
    - it was really bleak, naturally, given the subject matter. Children being given suicide pills, and husbands shooting their wives before turning the gun on themselves - it is not exactly uplifting stuff.

    On the positive side:
    - utterly convincing acting
    - looked historically accurate (don't know enough to say for sure)

    You have to prepare yourself to watch this film. If you are interested in the subject matter - it is a must see. Depressed and suicidal types should definitely give this one a miss, though.   14 out of 26 people found this review helpful
