Most philosophy students will get shown this film because of it's many questions the film's narrative asks the audience on a sub-level. At the time, this film made as much of an impact with me as Shallow Grave did as the film is essentially a 90's horror film, complete with the 'twenty-somethings in a flat' type situation. What strikes you is the strange dynamic of the characters and cast. The artist character is easily the worst actor whilst the black actor is the best, but the acting is worse than i remembered it being the last time i saw it in the late nineties. What makes the film stand out is the last 30 minutes, where Ron Perlman brilliantly disarms the student's philosophical and moral prowess.
