Daniel Craig cements his 007 capabilities, while Javier Bardem steps in as one of the great Bond villains.

Not your typical BOND Film, but a Very Different type of BOND FilmBy a customer , 27 Oct 2012
[Highly rated reviewer]Skyfall is almost as good as Casino Royal but definitely a lot better than Quantum of Solace, the plot makes more sense! Oh a difficult film to review. This isnt your typical Bond Film. Its perhaps the most unique and odd Bond film ever made out of all them. It doesnt follow the same formula as the rest of the series. Yes, theres Bond Girls, a Bond Villain and a great opening sequence, but the film, dare I say, is more about M (Dench who is awesome) rather than about Bond himself.
After the opening sequence, it takes while to get into, about and 1 hour and a half, as soon as Bardem makes his appearance who is very good as the bad guy. It reminded me of how The Dark Knight went along, although Skfall not as cleverly accomplished as that film. The action scenes are decent, but not as memorable as past Bond films like Casino Royal. Craig is showing some Bond humour now, but not on a Roger Moore humour level, that will take a miracle! And Q returns, which great, but no invisible car, which is great too.
I like the ending, sombre but it allows Daniel Craigs Bond to go in a new direction, which I look forward to seeing. Overall a very, very, different Bond Film, that is enjoyable to watch, but it isnt perfect. Hopefully Chris Nolan will direct the next one and show his interpretation of the perfect Bond.
Good effort 007.

Great movieBy a customer , 05 Dec 2013
THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideI did enjoy this and I do prefer Daniel Craig's bond. Its all there, cars, women explosions...however I preferred Casino Royal to this. Was surprised to find out what Skyfall was, I thought it was some secret training or mission. It is also good to see that M is shown to have made difficult decisions and that everything isn't black and white.
Not up to the hype.By Dervaddict (2 reviews) , 01 Dec 2013Disappointing! When it ended I was left with the feeling that not much happened. Not the usual Bond. A bit lackluster.
Stripped-back BondBy Ianlightyear (26 reviews) from Rochford , 28 Nov 2013I'm not normally a fan of Bond but watch them anyway as they're usually well made productions, and this was no different in that respect. This did differ, however, as it had a very simple plot and execution whcih I really enjoyed. A straight forward action movie and a well produced one at that.
Craig is not a BondBy a customer , 25 Nov 2013Daniel Craig is the worst Bond ever! He's nothing like the traditional image. If you want to recreate a new character/personality have the decency to recreate your own franchise instead of changing all we knew and loved about the 007 we grew up with.
First Bond experience... Seriously!By KingVegas (7 reviews) , 23 Nov 2013I was pleasantly surprised, having never seen a James Bond film throughout, I decided to jump onto the Bond wagon with Skyfall. I was not disappointed, I thoroughly enjoyed this film from start to finish.
