Great easter treat for kids...and less calories than an egg !By PaulaWestwood (397 reviews) from Ashton-Under-Lyne , 01 Apr 2007
[Highly rated reviewer]This is a really good film to sit and watch with the kids, as it will entertain them and keep you happy enough as well. Has a slightly easter bias (Mimsy happens to be a - way too cute - stuffed wabbit !) so is ideal to watch with the young 'uns around the easter holidays, (though if it isn't easter you will still enjoy this anyway). has enough to keep the young (and not so young) entertained. Recommended.

Great kids film, don't believe the hatersBy Kelly76 (103 reviews) from Crowthorne , 03 Jul 2012This is one of those lovely little films that has a throw back to greats of the 80's like Flight of the Navigator... of course for us adults it could never be as good as flight of the navigator but my kids loved it so much, I think it could be theirs!
It had a good story, was pretty well acted, good bits of humour, wonder and special effects.
Really worth a watch as a family movie, my youngest is 5 and my mother is 73 and we all loved it!
ho humBy gillibeanie (9 reviews) from Barnstaple , 17 Jun 2012yuck- pretty sickly and rather a poster campaign for Eastern mysticism. Not impressed at all. Acting patchy at best. Nice CG though.
Original and interesting fantasy outingBy Whipster (663 reviews) from Shropshire , 11 Apr 2012A nicely executed fantasy movie. Aimed at children in many respects but deep enough to interest adults as well. The storyline is actually original with some very nice asides - particularly a Mimzy in an old photgraph - and as others have commented, for a change, it doesn't descend into the predictable video game drabness that so many movies do at the present time. The young female lead is particularly good in her role, managing to be convincing whilst at the same time retain her innocence. Special effects sequences are not overused to pad out the narrative, which is also a novelty! 4 stars.
