A Real 'Gem'By Maynard (137 reviews) from Gillingham, , 08 Nov 2012
[Highly rated reviewer]I loved every moment of this story of four aboriginal girls singing their way roung Vietnam in the sixties, ably managed by their heavy drinking manager played by Chris O'Dowd. It's even better when you realise that it's based on fact and not only deals with the girls and their manager but colour prejudice both in Australia and in Vietnam/USA.
However the best part of the film is the music which is 99% Motown and belted out by the girls with passion and in some cases a great amount of tenderness and feeling.
To sum up, this a great feel good film and I can't wait until the soundtrack is released and eventually the blu-ray.

TOTALLY BRILLIANT- GREAT FEEL GOOD FACTORBy Mennie (9 reviews) , 16 Nov 2013I absolutely loved this film, it was brilliant from beginning to end. Although there is music in it, I wouldn't call it a musical. I didn't fancy it until I read the reviews, so glad I did. You won't be disappointed, trust me.
