Spiral Series 2By a customer from Solihull , 10 Aug 2010
[Highly rated reviewer]Just to point out that the plot summary is incorrect-the story about the Romanian prostitute was in Series 1. Series 2 focuses on a gang of drug dealers and starts with the brutal 'barbecuing' of a dealer suspected of cheating his boss.
If you like shows like 'The Wire' and 'The Shield', this is definitely for you, although the action is viewed mainly from the perspective of the cops and the lawyers with the criminals being less well-rounded than in 'The Wire' .
There is a lot of cynicism, treachery and double-dealing but most of it stems from the representatives of the French legal system!

Just as good as the first seriesBy a customer , 09 Sep 2013Fast-paced and full of action. Great series. I do wonder sometimes though about some of the things the French police get up to and seem to get away with. I know this is drama but even allowing for some artistic licence - do British police get away with these things too? And the lawyers seem to be almost as bad.
Must WatchBy a customer , 09 Sep 2013Fantastic series, I was hooked from the beginning.Edge of your seat stuff..... gives an insight into the French Justice system,
Amateur Camera Work and Poor SubtitlesBy a customer , 12 Aug 2013The first Spiral I watched was Series 4 and I became hooked. However, the camera work on Spiral Series 2 is appauling, similar to a home movie in parts. Also, there are occasions when a character is speaking but there is no English subtitle provided, so, unless one speaks French, important dialogue is missed. Otherwise, this is addictive viewing! I would have given it 5 stars had the production quality been professional.
just and realisticBy filmamateur (104 reviews) , 16 Jun 2013Reda Kateb is terrifying in his role of spitting gangster, Audrey Fleurot still perfect in icy queen b...h representation and Proust still great in her role of obsessed cop who is so tender when seduced by hot new additional cop : Samir
