'Expiation' is a palatable 'who-done-it?' seasoned with ample humour. Followed usual formula used in other detective series of making you convinced it was one party whom you think did 'it', because everything points to them. But, of course it may not have been them at all! Relies of course as in all these series on the two leading characters. If you don't like them you probably haven't got much time for the series. I admit it is not 'love at first sight' with Kevin Whately or the actor who plays Hathaway buit they do 'grow' on you.- Was this review helpful to you?
