Bertie sails to New York to escape Honoria Glossop and Aunt Agatha. He bumps into Tuppy on board who is going to buy a car. Bertie's lumbered with Lady Malvern's wimpish son Wilmot who turns from shy lad to clubber. Then Tuppy falls for a car manufacturer's daughter and Bertie escapes to the country.
