I remember first watching Lost on holiday when it was first shown on TV in the UK - I must have been around 11 at the time - and it completely blew my mind. It would have been one of the first real American Dramas I had ever seen and even though I couldn't really appreciate the show at that time, it's constantly twisting plots and dramatic story lines were fascinating to me (I didn't even really understand sci-fi at that age, so the whole supernatural aspect was like nothing I had ever seen). However, recently I have learnt to mistrust anything I liked as a child and in re-watching a lot of the things I loved ('Heroes', 'Yu-Gi-Oh' and a bizarre mini series called 'Dinotopia') I often find out it's a load of poorly scripted predictably poop.

Fortunately, this is not the case with Lost. Halfway through re-visitation of the first season and find it is just as brilliant as I remember. Great script, excellent direction and Hurley! Already looking forward to the rest.
