    [Highly rated reviewer]

This has many excellent clips of classic Hollywood films as well as some lesser known ones that are Scorsese's favorites like Sam Fuller, John Cassavetes who are auteur independent filmmakers.

Scorsese does say he won't cover his own films but that means he does not cover many of the the Movie Brats of which he has one; but some revealing personal comments do come through. He does cover the key technological developments and gets George Lucas, Francis Ford Coppola, Brian de Palma to comment on CGI even though this was made in 1995.He nicely also covers the key Hollywood genres.

This is a must view for anyone who is serious about Hollywood and its art and history
