An horrific and harrowing story but one that needs to be told to be reminded of how evil some people can become. Fantastic performances in all main roles, particularly that of dominic west who portrays the childlike and yet pure evil of his character.

  • A hard watch but well worth it.

This is a fantastic drama based closely on the time Fred West spent in jail and his relationship with his Appropriate adult. Dominic West has obviously studied Fred West from police interviews and its chillingly accurate in this performance.

  • Real killer aren't sipping chianti

Real killers aren't chianti-sipping, Shakespeare-reading masterminds. They're just nasty, grimy and brutal. Appropriate Adult drives this point home with great clarity. In the way it exposed society's nasty underbelly it reminded me of the terrific Aussie film, Snowtown. There aren't any heroes in this wonderfully compelling 2-parter, least of all the protagonist, Janet Leach.

  • What a mess!

one of the most ill judged and tasteless pieces of rubbish to be produced in many a long year. Cliche after cliche with no sense of drama or purpose. Unless you are a voyeur or a genuinely disturbed individual, why would you want to see this? The only part of any note is the ridiculous wig that they made Dominic West wear - funniest thing on television in along time and the envy of all the Toni-permed footballers of yesteryear. Utter nonsense from start to finish.

  • A good insite to a murderer and what he really believed

Everyone knows the story of Fred and Rose West and their evil, this 2 part story will give you a good insite to how some people around the case were affected, I have studied The West Murders for my Criminal Psychology course and know alot about these murders and I will say this is a very good account of what fred really believed, some dramatised for veiwing sake but still very good. Well done to Emily Watson and Dominic West for a great performance.
