This episode is one of the more emotionally raw ones of early Buffy and is one of my all time favourites. Everything about the role reversal and the way it plays out is so well done. Apparently this is the episode Joss Whedon was convinced that David Boreanaz was an actor strong enough to have his own series.

An all round brilliant episode. Nothing but real emotion and tactical writing. What a pleasure it was to see Angel doing something different than what we were beginning to see as a usual routine. David is a wonderful actor and I believe Buffy's real character got to shine too through Sarah's talent. I am usual quite tired of the limits she is given through Buffy and this episode helped me like her just a little bit more (the character and the actress)! A fantastic ending too!

i really enjoyed this programme, but in the screen where james shots the teacher - the window behind them hasn;t been cleaned since 1955. dirty school.

my favourite part of this whole episode is when angel and buffy are percessed by james and grace, and the look on angels face, when he pulls away from kissing buffy, is priceless!
