Good fun to watch, catching and interesting.

Good fun to watch, catching and interesting, with an original plot. The main characters have very interesting personalities. I wish Cal could be kinder, especially to Torres, and a bit more humble and sensitive with people. Foster is lovely and a great asset for the team.- Was this review helpful to you?

(10)Simple idea. Clever plots.
By Spectator (35 reviews) , 12 Feb 2013[Highly rated reviewer]
This is a review for the whole series. The basic idea is simple and easily explained but the plots that are woven around it are clever, subtle and complex. All of the characters are strong and well defined. All of the acting is very good, all of the characters are very credible. For me the editing is excellent, it makes every episode easy to watch and understand. Though the main character, Dr. Lightman (Tim Roth - excellent), rarely makes a mistake in his professional work he does not appear to be so sure footed in his personal life, giving the series a clever theme. In short, I have not enjoyed a USA series more since I started watching House.- Was this review helpful to you?

A cubic zirconia geezer
By a customer , 22 Jan 2013Okay, quite interesting and good plots for the first series. But they should have stopped there. The central character becomes more and more ridiculous with his 'geezer' swagger and limp arm waving. By Series 2 he may as well have donned the pork pie hat and bear costume.- Was this review helpful to you?

What an annoying smug programme
By Hamepages (21 reviews) , 07 Dec 2012This could have been a great series if it hadn't adopted the Columbo and Perry Mason approach of brilliantly solving cases that the poor old plodding police got wrong and if all the characters, starting with the hopelessly miscast Roth, hadn't all been so smug and self righteous. To quote Woody Allen 'what I shouldn't have given for a large polo mallet'- Was this review helpful to you?

Don't lie to me
By Ljb72 (1 review) , 19 Sep 2012Interesting idea for a show, a bit of a twist on the classic American crime solver format.
It's kind of similar to the Mentalist, although Cal is not as likeable as Patrick Jane.- Was this review helpful to you?
