A mixed bag of Milligan...By Vengeful Hedgehog from London, England , 25 Jul 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]A strange mixture of Milligan footage and sketches (largely from the Q series) linked by some ?new? footage of the ailing Spike being interviewed at home in a somewhat tongue in cheek manner, which seems specially shot for the original video presentation of what has now issued on this DVD. Whilst not wholly unwelcome, the linking material takes up precious minutes on the disc that would perhaps have been more wisely used to cram in some more vintage Milligan sketches (the Pakistani Dalek springs to mind ? its omission being almost unjustifiable). One for serious devotees of Spike I think?

CrackersBy Mark Byrne from Nantwich, England , 23 Jul 2009Spike can be a little hit and miss, but this compilation hit most of the right notes.
A little smutty in places for a younger audience, but well worth a view
Too shortBy Baronchris (202 reviews) from Bristol , 16 Jul 2007The time went too quickly when I was watching Spike. That is a sign of how good it was. Of course y ou have to be a fan and there are only a few who are not.
Even Parkinson could not keep a straight face as he acted as straight man. Spike is acting even when he is not, he cannot keep serious for a minute, fantastic, a real tonic and example to all those serious boring people out there who never laugh or smile... Take a look at this and if you don't laugh out loud, see a doctor, as you're probably dead.
Not his best work...By a customer from Birmingham, UK , 04 Apr 2007Amusing in places, but there are better sketches with Milligan available out there. I was disappointed that although this was the DVD version of a previously released VHS, they hadn't even bothered to alter the copyright notice on the main feature itself - it still referred to video cassettes!
The big daddy of comedyBy Vaughn Burtenshaw from England , 04 May 2006This DVD has some of Milligan's gems, from his BBC series, sadly never repeated as they are outrageously unpc.
Exploitation of a Comic GeniusBy a customer from Cornwall , 08 Apr 2006A poorly made jumble of clips which did not portray the comedy genius of Mr Milligan. There is a vast ocean of brilliant material from which anyone could make hours of programmes but this was very poor, it was so bad that we turned it off after the first few minutes.
