Truly dreadfulBy marco27 (3 reviews) , 24 Nov 2013The story is good, but it's ruined by astonishingly poor direction. You'll see better acting from planks in a wood yard and there are scenes that are so mawkish, you'll gag. To top it all, this film is so long, you'll notice yourself becoming older as you watch. This is amongst the worst films I have ever seen.
There is no reason to watch this in any way.By Alphonse (43 reviews) from Richmond, England , 06 Nov 2013Absolute rubbish. How the makers could view the finished result with any sort of regard, beggars belief. Its entire content is below the lowest possible standard.
Recieved the DVD on the same day it was being...By 100Bullets (14 reviews) , 03 Nov 2013repeated on channel 5 (D'oh!!). Watched it and thought it was very average, how on earth they managed to get Pierce Brosan involved I don't know. What is it about Stephen King a T. V mini-series, they always tend to be average affairs?
A thriller I didn't need the edge of my seat for...By Charleigh740 (3 reviews) , 30 Oct 2013I didn't realize this is a made-for-TV movie, but I figured that out along the way. I love thrillers, Pierce Brosnan as an actor and Stephen King novels, but I must admit I felt some of the dialogue was not well-written in the transcription to film. The story is intriguing and does draw you in, but the film overall lacked the intensity I expected from this genre and from Stephen King. Pierce Brosnan gave his best, as always, but even with his delivery, some of the dialogue felt forced. In fact, the dialogue is really where I feel the film falls short. I didn't hate it, but I have seen better. No matter how far-fetched the story is, I want to be convinced by the plot, the dialogue and the acting. I didn't hate this film, but it was not the intense, sit-on-the-edge-of-your-seat sort of film I was expecting.
TV Movie A Little OverlongBy MrGiles2 (82 reviews) from Middlesbrough , 23 Oct 2013I quite enjoyed this spooky movie, despite the fact that it is a little overlong. Made for TV as a two-parter, it could have been condensed as a two hour TV movie which would have made it more pacier and watchable. There are a few shocks and some spooky moments, one or two quite jumpy in fact. The cast, only Pierce Brosnan is a well known name, along with Annabeth Gish who will be known to X-Files fans. The rest are mostly unknowns in the UK. It is not as bad as some reviewers made it out to be, so give it a try, but be prepared for a long viewing. I watched the two parts separately at different times.
