The whole family loves thisBy James from Exeter , 16 Nov 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]This is quality stuff. Particularly if you've got any connection with the Welsh valleys. Fireman Sam himself may be a bit of a two-dimensional hero but the stars of the show are the supporting cast. The stop-go animation may look somewhat clunky nowadays but the characterisation has never been surpassed.
There's the louche rogue, Trevor Evans, sniffing around at Bella's cafe, while spending too long in Dilys's flat. There's the wonderfully incompetent Elvis Cridlinton, the buffoonish, English station officer Steele and the scallyway-about-town Norman.
But the star turn is Dilys Price. Shopkeeper, gossip, enthusiastic grasper of the wrong end of the stick. Anyone who knows the valleys, knows a Dilys (or two). Just what is her relationship with Trevor? And who is Norman's father?
Let your children enjoy the fire engine set pieces while you enjoy the plots. A million times better than any soap opera. This is part of our national heritage. Diolch yn fawr, S4C.

GreatBy NuttyMare from Nottinghamshire , 27 May 2006If you want something to keep the children entertained for more than half an hour I would recommend this film for sure.
My nephew sat glued to the screen and watched every episode. It was a shame to have to send it back as he keeps asking for it to be played. I will be buying this when I see it in the shop.
