Live aid - never betteredBy cinegoer from northumberland , 22 Mar 2005
[Highly rated reviewer]Live aid was a magic occasion for those old enough to remember it. It was a first and probably an only, in terms of the enthusiasm it generated.
Disc two has probably the best live performance ever recorded. Queen. Whether their music appeals or not you have to marvel at Freddie Mercury and the response he received. What a sound!

rock and roll magic - but a disappointing dvdBy kkatyh (14 reviews) from UK , 04 Jun 2011The material is FABULOUS - and without a doubt one of the biggest events in rock and roll history but unfortunately.....
The dvd doesnt share anything new, that we havent already seen.
Bonus features didnt provide a new insight.
Disappointing - Id reccomend just watching your favourite performances in another manner
will never be betteredBy Deanoson (120 reviews) from romford , 12 Jul 2010a truly once in a lifetime event and Live Aid will probably never be bettered , the sheer number of stars involved and what went on will be remembered for all time ....superb performances from Queen ...the Boomtown Rats ....Madonna ..Thompson Twins ....Beach Boys ...to name just a few ...it is just a shame that the Live Aid dvd misses so many songs by the artists and some artists are not even included at all . This was i understand due to the quality of the tapes ...sound missing and poor video images and also some tapes were completely erased after the event ..also technical difficulties and copyright reasons led to other artists being missed on the dvd , so if you recorded the whole 16 hour event back in 1985 you are one of the lucky ones .
took me backBy a customer from Cheadle , 15 Oct 2009But what happened to Queen doing 'One Vision' ? I can remember keeping THAT brilliant performance on VHS for years ....what happened to it ?
Some of the U.S. bits are Fab
