CSI Goes From Strength to Strength.By Don. from Eastbourne, England. , 06 Apr 2006
[Highly rated reviewer]This series has gone from strength to strength Gary Sinise as the professional ex-marine Mac Taylor is very believable and leads the team from the front. The series was reputed to be a little darker than others at the start of the series but I feel that the latest episodes are a little lighter. A big difference between this series and what has gone before is the inclusion of more animals in the storylines we have had rats, a shot police horse, dogs, an elephant and the team have illustrated how animal traces can also lead to the detection of a crime. The usual format of featuring two crime scenes interwoven into each episodes works very well and this series features several new forensic procedures based on the very latest technology. The tour of the studio set on disc 3 is a real bonus and should not be missed. This series is a must see - believe me you will not be disappointed.

CSI:NY pacy, entertaining stuffBy a customer from New Malden , 17 May 2010I decided to rent Season 1 CSI:New York because I was frustrated that they were being shown on Channel 5 out of order, moving between seasons and skipping episodes. I'm glad I did, as the development of the various relationships makes more sense.
Have ordered the next couple of seasons already.
CSI NY Season 1By a customer from Chippenham , 10 May 2009We love this, oh yes we do. Particularly fond of the scrumptious Mac Taylor and the lovely detective Flack. I don't think it is all filmed in NYC, one of my favourite places in the world, but it conveys a great spirit of place. It can be bleak in places and there is sometimes a sense that they are standing on the beach trying to hold back the tide of corruption, cruelty and greed. That said, there are flashes of hope and a reminder that not everyone can be bought. Passion for justice, wanting to nail the bad guys and protect and save the innocent makes for compelling viewing. This stuff grips you tight and doesn't let go and the science is pretty compelling too. If you haven't seen this and you love that whole forsensics/justice/fight the bad guys stuff you should definitely give this a go and I defy you not to get pulled in like I did. Brilliant.
