not bad - worth watchingBy a customer from tolworth , 09 Aug 2005
[Highly rated reviewer]If your a Staind fan, then this is a must watch. It's not as heavy as their usual stuff because it's unplugged, but it's still pretty good. Too many shots of the lead singers fat head with him singing with his eyes shut but in the end, the music is good.
AMAZING!By Dazzlex (2 reviews) from Nottingham , 06 Mar 2008In this DVD, Staind gives us a flavour of some live acoustic performances of some of their most favourable songs from the 'Dsyfunction' to 'Break the Cycle' era. And I must say, they did it pretty damn well!
I particularly liked how they completely changed the dynamics of one of their more heavier songs 'Can't Believe' and changed it into a memorable, catchy, acoustic friendly, and more easy listening song. During the second half of the song when Aaron is really belting out his words, it's enough to send goosebumps rushing up anyone's arms. Simply put, this is poetry in motion!
The rest of the DVD is good too, as long with a whole collection of songs that make you want to just grab an acoustic and imitate very badly, we see the guitarist from COLD featured in one of their songs, and we even get to see some official music videos.
This is definately a DVD any die-hard Staind fan should have in their collection.
I can understand that some may not appreciate this DVD for all it's worth, as a past reviewer said, any die hard fan would love this. But to everyone else, maybe it's just a little bit too early for you. I'd recommend you to first go listen to their 'Dysfunction' and 'Break the Cycle' albums before you can really appreciate what Staind has produced in this DVD.
music to fall asleep too..By a customer from Lincs , 11 Mar 2006sounds like one long droning derge! they only have one half decent song in Outside. one to pass on methinks..
Disappointing..By a customer from North West England , 16 Feb 2006While I'm sure any Staind diehard is gonna love this DVD, even without the usual heaviness (It is all acoustic of course) the band seemed very one dimensional. The signature tracks are there, and sound good, but the in between banter is the worst I've ever seen on an Unplugged video. Diehards, yes, everyone else, I wouldn't bother. Good sounds even so.
