Brief synopsis of Sudden Fury

Small time crime boss Randall (David Warbeck, THE BEYOND), hires a notorious hitman to take out his competition. But when he betrays the hitman, he and his men find themselves on the wrong end of an assortment of deadly weapons. This extremely violent British crime thriller is the directorial debut of Darren Ward.

Rating of 2 stars out of 5 Radio Times

Neil Patrick Harris attempts to ditch his nice kid Doogie Howser, MD image in this intense and unsettling TV-movie drama, inevitably based on a true story. He is surprisingly convincing as one of three adopted children who fall under suspicion when their parents are murdered. There's a solid supporting cast, including Gregory Harrison and Lisa Banes, but Craig R Baxley's direction is unspectacular.

Darren Ward's ultraviolent crime thriller is an ambitious and technically proficient SOV (shot-on-video) production. Keep in mind that this is an amateur effort filmed on a miniscule budget and it's even more impressive. If you can ignore the flaws (non-professional actors, bad dialogue etc.), this is an entertaining and worthwhile experience packed with spectacularly bloody shoot-outs and gore!

Also, worth noting that the film includes an extended cameo appearance by David Warbeck, legendary cult star of many an Italian B-movie. One of his last roles before his death

Rated - 2 starsPub Team

Imagine this scenario.

Your down the pub you decide to write a movie script and want to get all the regulars involved.

2 hours later script written you and the boys go down to the old abandonded factory round the corner and start filming/paintballing.

Now here's the bonus one of your mates is related to David Warbeck and persuades him to cameo a scene or two and mega bonus for a staring role the barmaid agrees to get her kit off.

So two days later the finished product is ready for the rushes (or whatever the industry jargon is)and because your uncle is owed a favour!!! it's released.

however this so violent it does actually cause a reaction (but so does a bad pint)

Was it any good?

Actually it was pure rubbish but it did have a certain appeal.

WARNING MUST BE VIEWED AFTER AT LEAST 6 PINTS
