Brief synopsis of Teachers - Series 2 - Episodes 1 To 10

Channel 4's comedy drama TEACHERS returns with a second series of extracurricular activity. Andrew Lincoln (THIS LIFE) stars as Simon, a feckless English teacher whose enthusiasm is somewhat eroded by his sharp-tongued and uninspired Year Eights. In addition to problematic pupils, he finds himself and his equally hapless colleagues having to spark up in the toilets whilst the formidable Head of Year attempts to glean countless unstarted bits of marking and reports off him. The action follows the teachers' arbitrary attitudes to their own work and includes many school-night drunken confessionals and adolescent antics. Also starring Nina Sosanya, Richard Dale and Jeremy Lovering.

Rated - 3 starsDare I say it, than the first series!

I didn't think that this series would be able to survive with out Andrew Lincoln, but I was, I'm glad to say very wrong. Teachers, it seems, goes from strength to strength. Although Andrew makes a visit for a couple of episodes in the middle, the new (and old) cast are brilliant making Teachers funnier than ever.

This is comedy at its best- the writing is top draw and the comedy is timed to perfection. Fantastic, better, dare I say it, than the first series!?!

Rated - 5 starsQuality stuff in the staffroom

I have been a Primary teacher for 10 years and I just wish that it was as fun as this series in real life I really do. They have such a good crack it is untrue. In my school in Edmonton the staff talk about curtains and their latest trip to Ikea. This is a fantastic series that has gems in every episode. The series is blessed in that all the characters are interesting, not just the main one which is Simon until he sods off in the middle of it, but good for him , oops sorry I was forgetting that it was just acting. You have to get this out whether you are a teacher or not. The highlight has to be the party at the school scenes and Bob and his wife, get it out and you will drool like Brian does.

Series one was great but series two hundred times funnier and totally bizarre. Brian and Kurt get better and better. If you missed the first two series make sure you give them a look. 5 stars

Rated - 5 starsIt's Teachers, but a little raunchier

Teachers, the good old days, i.e, before Simon left.

Some complete classics here, I never laughed so hard on this series ever as when Brian comes out... A complete contrast to end of the second disc - there's not too many cliff-hangers here - which WILL leave you gagging for the third! Queue them together folks!

This disc feels like Season One all over again, but with Penny's breasts :)
