Rating of 2 stars out of 5 Radio Times

A rather tasteless drama from Gidget director Paul Wendkos about a group of women in LA, all survivors of the Birkenau Nazi concentration camp, who discover one of their tormentors making a living in the same city as a successful restaurant owner. Loretta Swit, Jessica Walter, Barbara Barrie, Sandy Dennis and Valerie Harper are the women with bad European accents who decide to exact revenge in what is essentially an interesting, but exploitative, TV copy of The Odessa File.

This film was quite different with a twist at the end. I thought it well worth watching though a bit slow to build up.

Quite a good storyline once the film got going, although the acting from the female cast members was rather weak.

We kept having to check that this film was current.Although it had a star cast it was quite amateuristic.

Rated - 4 starsWatchable

Film had a 'Made for TV' feel about it but it was very watchable despite some cheap looking sets and dreadful 'mittle European' accents from all the leading ladies. And that was a surprise as all of them are established and fairly well respected actresses with Sandy Dennis putting in the most convincing performance. All the actors were weakish, ex- concentration camp officer giving the least convincing performance. There is a twist at the end which is a little contrived but does not spoil the plot of this 'woman's film'.
