This is a fun, action anime, set in a city that has suffered a demon invasion. Don't worry, you won't see any 'naughty tentacles' here. What you will see is a very atmospheric use of colour, and although the animation has aged a little it still moves nicely in the action sequences.

Also the designs are particuarlary good, especially for the monsters.

So, what else do we get here? Well, a likeable hero (well, mostly), a brave female character (bravest in the whole movie, I personally think), and a tonne of quirky side characters adding much flavour and interest.

Also it's free of the 'annoying ending' problem common in a lot of anime, and with this being a one shot movie, you can watch it in one sitting after only hiring a single dvd rather than about eight.

So, get this out, and have a good, fun spooky night in. And dim the lights.....
