The village of Shillingbury is a tranquil place, representative of traditional rural England. It is a picture postcard village of thatched roofs and afternoon cream teas. Everything is perfect...

Rated - 5 starsThe wait is over!

Ever since first seeing this series on television and subsequently reading the book, I have long awaited it being released on either video or DVD. At last the wait is over!

I only noticed though because I was searching for an old B/W films that Bernard Cribbins had been in called 'The Wrong Arm Of The Law' and I found 'Shillingbury Tales' purely by accident. I don't think I have put any selection into my Rental Queue list quicker than I put these two series.

I'm a happy old Hector.

I loved it when it was first on television, I have waited & waited for it to come on DVD (or even video) and I've even gone as far as actually buying a them to keep. A lovely, lovely series.
