For me Geraldine really sparkled. Lumley as Dolly was for me the perfect companion to Geraldine's Jane.

True she is very different from Joan Hickson.

The supporting cast were of a high standard. Some of the acting may have been over the top but it is a good romp.

This version pales in comparison with Joan Hickson as Miss Marple. The well known names in starring roles overplayed their parts. This version would be better suited to the stage.Disappointing.

I would rate this with 0 stars if this was an option. This is not true to the writer Agatha Christie and ruins the true plot as told in her own book. All you Agatha Christie fans out there this is not worth the hire fee.

Rated - 4 starsAnother Marple Whodunnit

Geraldine McEwan is back as Marple aiming to solve the mystery of a dead body found in a library.

Better than some of her other outings in so far as she is supported by a great cast including Simon Callow and a delightful Joanna Lumley. The dialogue is witty and I must admit I didn't see the ending coming.

Very entertaining and watchable
