Attractive suburban housewife and loving mom Alison wins millions in the first-ever Euro Lottery. Worried that the money will spoil her family, she keeps her win secret and sets up a charitable trust, but she is not the only one in the family with a secret. Her husband is having a messy affair, her eldest daughter is a closet lesbian, and another daughter gets knocked up by the kid next door. Can money buy them happiness? Not likely.

Rated - 3 starsGreat series, rubbish disc

Almost perfect drama, shame the episodes are presented in fullscreen instead of widescreen, with a lot of shots zoomed up and out of frame. This is not how it was shown on ITV.

Zero extras also. A shame.

Rated - 5 starsWonderful!

I'd caught on to this series near the end of its run on ITV and enjoyed the characters and daftness of it all. So, very pleased to get the chance to see how it all started - and it was brilliant! Very well written, great characters, a really good mix of comedy and drama. The always watchable Amanda Redman holds the show together (what is SHE up to these days?) but the whole cast are great.

Can't wait for the second series to be released.
